NYC HD Eyeshadow Quad

NYC is fast becoming one of my favourite budget beauty brands. Their products are well priced, well pigmented and generally capture the essence of a trend or season quite well.

Their HD Colour Quattro Eye shadow palettes are awesome. Retailing at a measly €3.49, these convenient little palettes are soft and blend nicely. Although I would toss the applicator included. Or use it for nail art. Lightbulb*.

just so you can see its "handy" size.

I am reaching for the Best of Broadway quartet most often at the moment. This neutral palette contains all the colours needed for a pretty natural eye, and its pretty much fool proof to use.

The darkest colour it great to use as a liner and smudge softly around the lash line, I use the next shade down (coppery shade) in the crease, the next shade all over the eyelid and then the lightest shade under my eyebrows. Easy-peasy. I generally lash it all on and then blend the layers with a fluffy blending brush. No mess, no fuss.

And this is the look I achieve. I used a liquid liner to get a nice thick flick, and NYC's Big Bold Mascara (€2.99) as loved by Karen (she of Lovely Girlie Bits Awesomeness).

NYC have a whole load of different colour combinations in these nifty little palettes. They are well worth a browse if you have a stand near you!

Heres to a happy healthy 2013!

  2. I've never tried out a NYC palette before! Seems well worth a look at. The dark shadow is the biggest surprise for me! Are you wearing a primer in the above pictures??

(Ps. I've nominated you for the liebster award!)
